Sachin....

The phenomenon of Indian Cricket. The epitome of batsmanship. The guy born to play cricket. The God. The Master Blaster. Tendiya. The Little Master.

Sachin has amassed 70000 runs in his cricketing career spanning over 20 years ever since he started playing first class cricket. His exploits in the international arena are beyond any comparison. over 200 wickets and 26000 runs puts all alone at the top of a all time greats list. Yet, the people of his own country are calling for his head.......asking him to quit at 33. Why is this happening? and more importantly...... WHY SHOULD HE QUIT?

Sachin has given the people of India and every cricket fan in the world a reason to watch the great game. He has endured fame with a level head. A feat that few other people have managed. He has given masterful innings after masterful innings for the people to savor. He is the king, the prince, the minister and the jester....... He calls his shots....He can choose when to go out of cricket.....No one is going to or can drop him from the team till then....

But on the down side.....why should this all time great take this insult. Personally I feel its time Sachin stopped raising his hand to volunteer to save the grace of cricket and rather raise a particular finger to all those who critique him and stop giving them the entertainment, the excitement, the pleasure that these people don’t deserve.

The people of India are like pregnant women......their mood swings infact are way more frequent. The moment India wins a match, they adore their cricketers, the next day after a loss they dare burn their effigies. They want their team to be consistent!!.... For god sakes they should be consistent first.

As a true cricket fan and more importantly a fan of the Indian brand of cricket, I certainly feel that the day Sachin goes out, cricket will loose its number one entertainer and magician and Indian cricket itself will receive a blow that it will be unable to recover from.

Sachin our GOD, Sachin our SAVIOR, Sachin - Our SACHIN......... I want to see you go on and on and on ... but we the people dont deserve it...
